The person behind the mission.

Who I Am

I'm Niklas B. Muegge—a developer, builder, and advocate for individual sovereignty. I believe that technology should serve people, not the other way around. My work focuses on creating tools and systems that give individuals more control over their digital lives, data, and economic participation.

Based in Berlin, I've spent years working at the intersection of decentralized technologies, privacy-preserving systems, and user-centric design. I'm driven by the conviction that the next evolution of the internet should empower individuals, not further entrench corporate or governmental control.

My Motivation

The centralization of power in the digital age concerns me deeply. We've seen how platforms can deplatform individuals overnight, how data can be weaponized, and how financial systems can exclude entire populations. This isn't just a technical problem—it's a human rights issue.

I'm motivated by a simple question: What would the world look like if individuals had true ownership of their digital identity, their data, and their economic participation?

This question drives everything I build. Whether it's a privacy-focused application, a decentralized protocol, or simply writing about these ideas, my goal is to move us closer to that vision of individual sovereignty.

Background

My journey into technology started with curiosity—taking things apart to understand how they work, then building things to see what's possible. This evolved into a career spanning full-stack development, blockchain engineering, and system architecture.

I've had the privilege of working with teams building decentralized infrastructure, contributing to open-source projects, and advising organizations on their technology strategy. Each experience has reinforced my belief that the best technology is invisible—it simply works for the people using it, without requiring them to sacrifice their privacy or autonomy.

What I Believe

Sovereignty

Individuals should have ultimate control over their digital presence, data, and economic participation.

Transparency

Open source, open standards, and honest communication build trust and enable collaboration.

Accessibility

Powerful technology means nothing if only a privileged few can access or understand it.

Long-term Thinking

Building for the future requires patience, resilience, and a willingness to challenge short-term incentives.

Let's Connect

I'm always interested in conversations about technology, sovereignty, and building a better digital future. Whether you're working on something similar, have questions, or just want to exchange ideas—reach out.
